The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon "Apollo 8 », reference 310.92.44.50.01.001, is a striking timepiece inspired by the historic Apollo 8 mission, the first crewed mission to orbit the Moon in December 1968. The watch features a 44.25mm black ceramic case, enhancing the durability while providing a lightweight feel, making it both functional and comfortable for daily wear. The matte black skeletonized dial is offset with eye-catching accents, including "Apollo 8"-themed details, such as a laser-engraved representation of the Moon's surface and the lunar craters, emphasizing the watch's tribute to this milestone mission. It also includes a varnished yellow chronograph seconds hands and a laser-engraved tachymeter scale on the bezel which is filled with white enamel.  A special feature is the small-seconds subdial includes a grade 5 titanium hand shaped like the Saturn V rocket. This 3D shape is obtained by laser turning, while the colours are obtained by white varnish, ablation, and laser blackening. Powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3869 (manual-winding), boasting a 50-hour powre reserve. The caseback includes several engraving “Appollo 8, Dec 1968”, “Dark Side of the Moon”, “We’ll see you on the other side”, and "Co-Axial Master Chronometer ». This model is presented on a perforated black rubber strap with yellow rubber interior and a foldover clasp in black ceramic for a secure and comfortable fit.
